It was seven PM, a day at the orphanage had finally finished, but it was another disappointment for Jack. It was was a cold, snowy December, the coldest weather England has ever had, and still no sign of his mother. Even though Jack was 15, each day he was hoping that his mother would come back for him, but she has not seen him since he was born. He was usually patient, and maybe hoped that another loving family might welcome him with open arms and hearts, but that was when he was ten. Jack knew that he had little chance of being adopted at such an old age, he couldn't even go to a foster home for the fact the caretakers labeled Jack as a trouble maker for wetting the bed and hiding in places that were out of bounds, like the time he was found under a counter in the kitchen for three days. The stench of urine that lingered on him would put anyone off him anyways.
Light in the DarknessThe streets were barren as the man moved silently through them, pulling his old coat to his shivering chest. Newly formed puddles were getting harder to avoid as the rain fell down around him and soon, his pant legs were soaked. 1. Has a tattoo between her breasts
It's a gold star. She has a second tattoo between her shoulder blades, a larger gold star with a heart-shaped hole in the center. The larger tattoo has both star and heart outlined in black.
2. Never lost one of her baby teeth
Or so she claims. Being a canine tooth, it's possible that the adult tooth grew into the baby tooth, and she swallowed the baby tooth in her sleep when it fell out. Regardless, the tooth in question is the lower right canine.
3. Jellybeans can amuse her for hours
In college she was once caught reciting Romeo & Juliet with each character being represented by a different color jellybean, which she would poke when she spoke their lines. If a character died, the jellybean was eaten. She's done the same for Of Mice And Men and at least two episodes of the original Star Trek series. While nobody ever caught her at it, in her early teens she did the same thing for her fanfiction too.
